Trips and events
Oak Class will be spending the day at Thorpe Park on 22nd June, to celebrate reaching the end of their time at Rose Hill Primary School.  The coach will be leaving at 9 am, so children should come into school at the usual time for registration.   The coach will return to school at approximately 6 pm. Please ensure that you have completed and returned the permission slip.

Year 5 visited a working farm in Moreton-on Marsh on June 12th, where we learnt about farm work, and life in a rural location. We visited the Rollright Stones and found out about legends associated with the stones, as well as the history of the site. The trip was organised by 'The Cotswold Wardens' - an organisation that seeks to share the Cotswolds with children who otherwise may not get to visit.

On April 23rd (Sycamore) and April 30th (Elder) Year 5 enjoyed a second 'Into University' experience. We spent the day at a centre in Blackbird Leys, finding out what Universities offer students.

On April 24th 'The Sun Dome' (from Culham Research Facility) visited Rose Hill Primary School. Year 5 and Year 6 children entered 'The Dome' to find out more about how the Sun works and how it effects Earth.

On 18th and 25th April Year 5 took part in an Oxfordshire Arts Week Workshop. We worked with a professional director to dramatise parts of the famous novel, 'Peter Pan'.
